CNN/Money just came out with its annual list of the "
Best Places to Live" and Columbia/Ellicott City made the list again, ranked at the 8th best place to live! This is the third time within the last ten years that Columbia/Ellicott City have been ranked within the top ten cities. In 2010, the area was ranked at #2 on the list and in 2008, ranked at number 8th.
CNN/Money named Columbia and Ellicott City's diversity, reasonable housing costs, schools as well as access to wonderful amenities such as hiking trails and "big box stores" as reasons for its ranking.
Other nearby locales also made the top 100 list including: Waldorf, ranked at number 20, Gaithersburg at # 23 and Germantown at #24.
